Alexandro Pasqualotto has been a Chef for 28 years, with an enriched experience in international cuisines and with a huge variety of styles, from Sushi to Handmade Hamburgers. Alexandro’s wife is also a chef and, for the first time together, they decided to start an innovative project in the Municipality of Ribeira Grande, filling a commercial void registered in terms of “Fast Food” restaurants, thus building a new local concept, with a strong focus on quality and innovation, with emphasis given to the Handmade Hamburger as an anchor product of the business, commercial strategy and communication and marketing. The investment project started at the end of 2019 and, despite the strong obstacles resulting from the pandemic, they successfully opened the “Tio Lanches” space at the end of December 2020. In a municipality normally used to and with a preference for Bifanas, Tio Lanches’s specialty is the pioneering Handmade Hamburgers, which until then did not exist in competing local establishments. The space, located next to Euromotas in Ribeira Grande, experienced a first year of enormous success and demand and, especially in a pandemic context, even led Alexandro to start the delivery courier service and the possibility of take-away, which was in great demand, which helped to expand the customer network and also the billing.
